High performance general smoothing plane with capabilities to serve as miter plane, edge shooting plane on the shooting board, and perform as a big block plane. Exceptionally good performance on end grain. With this release we also introduce a new design for the medallion on the cap of all planes. It is constructed of stainless steel and fixed by press-fit and glue. The main features include: - Average weight: 8.80 lbs. or 4.00 kg. A high body mass for its length.
- Dimensions: length 285mm, width 65mm, height 60mm.
- Materials used: sole - 8mm O1 tool steel, sides 380 brass, cap and adjuster base-bronze type LG2.
- Bevel Up design with bed angle of 20° fitted with blade location screws.
- Iron: made of D2 steel.
- The blade is ground at 25° and honed at 30°, giving a cutting angle of 45° and considered ready for out-of-the-box use.
- Blade adjustment is made through a simple peg and screw arrangement, being 1/4 inch 28 threads per inch. This also allows some lateral adjustment to be made, since the blade pivots on the peg.
- Blade stability is further increased through:
- Alignment by set screws on each side of the blade.
- The blade is well supported virtually down to the cutting edge, and the bronze cap ensures that once positioned the blade stays in place.
- Adjustable mouth opening.
- Knob can be screwed on the front or the side, through the brass and into a captured nut.

All knobs are equipped with a top cap without slot for screwdriver. My new design doesn't require a screwdriver to attach the knob to a plane. The bottom of the knob is finished with a brass ring. Deluxe Knobs, in addition to all features described above, are decorated with a brass ring. | | |
